Is the Savage Action rigid enough for 338 Lapua?

I currently have a Savage 110FP in 300 Win Mag. I am curious to know if the action is rigid enough to handle the 338 Lapua Magnum cartridge?

There's a difference between ridgid and strong enough, and I believe that the savage action is strong enough for most carts.

I guess that since they now offer it, Savage feels its up to the task.

Thanks guys. I read through that. I know savage built the BA on the 110 action. I just wasn't sure if its a new action or if it is a beefed up action.

Savage has used the same 110 action to house some really big monsters.

The biggest was the Lazzeroni giants. Not sure if they ever did dangerous game cartridges???

The action is plenty strong.

Ah the Lazzeroni's. 10/10 stars for cool cartridge names. The .257 SCRAMJET, the .338 TITAN, the .375 SATURN, and the life of every party, the .416 METEOR. 6000+ ftlbs at the muzzle!

I wonder if they will ever chamber any of the big ones again? I know they offered the .375 H&H and the .300 RUM at one point, so I would think anything magnum-length (up to a certain diameter) would work just fine.
