Hi.

My friend bought this second hand Burris Fullfield II , the 4.5 x 14 x 42mm, model 200182

(as seen here , broken link: h ttps://www.burrisoptics.com/scopes/fullfield-ii-riflescopes-series/fullfield-ii-riflescope-4.5-14x42mm)

the problem with the scope is... at 50 yards with his .22lr, with the turret all the way up, he still hits 4" inches below... the height adjustment is at the max...
the Windage is good and centered

rings are good quality, he had no issues with the previous scope. (cheap 4x Simmons )

this model has for total elevation adjustment only 40 MOA , same thing for windage.

I called Burris tech support today. told him about the scope being stock at 4 inch low at 5O yard... all he add to say is " if you want to fix the problem, get yourself a pair of signature ring with shims.... " he never mentioned send it back... I didn't ask either though

Anyone here owning the same Scope ? do you have the same problem?

I know the scope is supposedly fully VIP warranty covered... hopefully if I send it back the will fix or replace it....
Do you know if Burris has a good reputation for CS ?

ok thanks for your help. please if you know of a test I could be to really confirmed the scope is broken, plz let me know

I'm looking forward reading your comments, tips or ideas before I send it back

Regards
Stef, Montreal.

maybe.... they seems good quality...all steel. installation looks even...

I think I will switch them around tomorrow and see what happens. Maybe it's that simple....

Take the scope off and place a longish straight edge on the bottom half.
See if the bottom of the straight edge runs somewhat parallel with the bawrill.

I would double check the mounting to start with, and if that checks out, ignore the POI for now and do a box test, that will help tell you if the scope is giving you proper adjustments

what rings and action is this on?

it is on a .22 Savage Mark II laminated & bull. the groupings are good (3/8 at 50) it's the poi....

the rings are standard .22 rail system. I don't know the make; they are steel but no logo or markings. they seems good quality.he

I haven't had the time to shoot it yet. I will do the box test first, good idea....

I was also thinking of rotating the scope 90 degrees so the elevation become the windage... if, trying to adjust the left and right, I am still 4 inches away for center, wouldn't you say the scope is not good?

thanks

scope isnt broken, just lacks enough ele adjustment. Guy at may club had the same issue, same rifle with a 1in tube bushnell. Told him to get a set of burris signature z rings with the offset insert kit. That got him on tgt.
