Is the USA glock just as good as the Austrian?

:sok2b: Unreal! Sorry, for that much I'm going to throw another few hundred in and go with a 1911!?

I paid $700 for my G17 gen 4 when they came out, and had my share of buyers regret at the time because the M&P was like $550-$600 at the time.

I would not, I will not, pay $1100 for a Glock...and I like Glocks (I quickly got over my remorse once I figured out my grip issues). @ $1100, the item is $500 overpriced at a retail level! (Profit margins considered)

I believe that there is more to this story.
S&W M&P in US is $499-529 pistol. Here $699-725.
Glock in US is $550-625 pistol. Here $900-1100.
Exchange rate is the same for all the brands, so I can't see any other explanation than...Glock is just milking our market to the max.

i got my 17 for $500 7 or so years ago.
i cant see spending $1100 for the same gun.
that is just crazy!

My BNIB G22 was $550 with the night sights couple of years ago, here on CGN.
Still nice and clean, so I'll keep it and enjoy for the years to come. No way I'll pay anything over $600-650 for a Glock.
As much as I like it...it's not worth more.
