Is there a break in procedure on new rimfire barrels

Not sure about KIDD but Greenmountian supplies a break in procedure for theirs. Basically shoot, clean, shoot, clean etc. with an increasing number of shots between cleaning.

I know one folk awn'ear that thinks it's a brutal sin to clean a 22 rimfire bawrill.

And I'm curious to know how many rounds arr awn the 10/22 awn the other
folk rifle uncleaned for umteethinth years.
Maybe he will find this note and inlighten us/moi.

"so you dont recommend any particular kind of process, breaking it in is just get out there and shoot it?"
"yeah I dont see any reason to do a road processes"

Break-in for a rimfire? That's a hoot! What's the barrel life for a 22? 10,000? 20,000?!?

A .22LR barrel can last over 100 000 rounds, even several times that. They do not experience the high pressures that CF barrels must accommodate and the bullets move much more slowly through the bore. Eley, makers of top-of-the-line match ammo like Tenex, report having barrels used in testing that have not had accuracy loss after over 300 000 rounds.
See w w w.eley.co.uk/the-bulletin/barrel-wear-myths-shot-down/ The greatest threat to a rimfire barrel is from improper cleaning.
