Is there a difference....

I assume you are talking about comparing the British No.4 Mk1(T) sniper rifle to the Canadian Long Branch No.4 Mk1*(T) sniper rifle.

If so, here's some pics from our MKB, comparing the two.

British No.4 Mk1(T)

Long Branch No.4 Mk1*(T)

Hope this helps...

"...a difference..." As in the fit? How it goes on? The wood?
BadgerDog. Is the cheek piece on the Brit rifle an add on? Just curious.

Actually there are 2 Canadian contours.

There is a Brit contour & then there is an Australian (MkIII) contour.

Then there is a P-14 style (usually ala Brit WWII).

Of course then the whole thing was shaped to fit the individual sniper....

It doesn't appear to be, as it's part of a picture series of a British No.4(T) at JP's Milarms Photo Gallery (click here)http://www.angelfire.com/nh/milarm/no4t.html.

JP is a member of CGN's MKB Advisory committee. I only picked and used it as a typical example, because the photo angle and point of view was similar to the what I already had for a pic of the Long Branch No.4(T) in our MKB.
