Is there a Limit to buying gun powder?

It isn't hoarding if you are just buying enough to get you through to whenever the next time you might find a store with it in stock.
If you just buy one pound when you run out you're just asking to be buying factory loads for months while you wait to find more powder.
We get what's left over after the US fills it's orders so nothing will change until that Devil gun hater president is out of office and people down there settle down and quit prepping for the end of the world nothing here will change. The guys here buying powder aren't the problem.

I say get what you can when you can. Running out of supplies sucks.

CR5, I wasn't trying to suggest the average Canadian buying a few extra pounds is the problem. It is, as you say, the guys thinking they will need to one day supply their entire county or state with ammo that are causing the shortage, which of course just causes people like us to ramp up our purchases. Voila, snowball effect. The guy who buy six pounds a year rather than four is still increasing purchases by 50%. If most reloaders do that in a short time - well, no factory can just safely jump production by 50% for extended periods, let alone the levels they are seeing now.

The worst part of all this is most of this hoarded powder probably won't even get loaded. It's just sitting in someone's garage, barn or basement, while guys like most of us just wish they could get an extra pound or three.

My son used to operate a specialty ammo company. Apparently if I divulge the customers I will be shot.....

A truck load of powder lasted about 3 weeks, max.

No could not re-sell it, but lots of friends used to come to the back door with a cup in their hand.
