Is there a "use for everything" powder available?

I'm kinda a 4350 guy for most of my milsurps and hunting rifles. While I've had good success with other powders I've learned to load most stuff with 4350 because I have access to another 50 or 60 pounds of it.

For lighter rifles like .223 I prefer 4895.

While its nice to think there is one go-to powder for rifles, I also load for handgun and shotshells, so... no such luck for me.

Glad to have all these recommendations! Fox provided a link ^^ that almost exactly describes my shooting requirements:

"Youth hunting, informal target shooting and plinking" but in my case it should read: "Small older guys"

If you are looking for lighter recoil loads for fun look into shooting lighter bullets as well, you have less recoil with a lighter bullet. If you want to shoot your 30-06 for fun then look at 125gr bullets rather than your normal 180 for hunting, you can get more used to your gun and then sight in for your hunting ammo.

For the 303 Brit you can get 7.62x39mm military ammo for really cheap, so cheap that the 123-125gr bullets (0.310-0.312) are cheaper to buy loaded military surplus then buying bullets for the 303 Brit, you can do the same with 7.62x54R, break down the rounds and take the bullets for loading in your 303 Brit. I do not condone using the powder though, you do not know what that powder it. Check the diameter of the bullets but that can be a really cheap way to reload the 303 Brit.
