I called Movie Arms about the vz58 gas issue causing excessive recoil, internal component damage and violent cartridge ejection.
They told me to test my rifle (2013 production) and I should be able to tell right away if there is an issue. Well, I'd never fired a .223 before so I couldnt really tell when I went to the range this weekend. Had someone spotting the brass and it was ejecting 4-5 feet in the air occasionally, but with nothing to compare it to I have no idea if its normal.
There must be a way to check components o the rifle for the gas port issue without sending back to MAG and without having to test fire a potentially defective product.
If not, I guess I will just keep shooting it until there is a part failure..
