That's just ugly pricing..
I just picked up a case (5000) of CCI Standard for $449.55+tax.... Came out to $507.99 out the door.
Ya, I didn't think it was to bad considering the shortage, and the fact that a well known supplier of ammo on this site sells them for $699+taxand advertising. 14 cents per bullet. So at. 9 cents per bullet, I'm happyThat's just ugly pricing..
not to deviate too much from a pure pricing discussion, but what are some recommendations of brand/type that are a good value AND accurate?
i'm shooting a savage bolt action at a 40m target and currently using Winchester Wildcats, and the groups aren't pretty.
i'm talking 3", and i gotta believe it ain't all me. i'd like to step up to 100m, but obviously something has to improve first.
i'm not too keen on paying $80 a brick for top of the line eley. what else are people using that they're grouping tightly with, without paying triple the price of regular .22 ammo?

My Local CT in Barrie, just got a good shipment. Lots of the 333 and Remington bulk packs. No more M-22 (65$ per thousand, so 7 cents per round with tax. Not bad) though, I bought those, my pistol likes the round nose stuff! The cabelas in town only has Green Tag (20$ per hundred!), which I cant justify, doesn't really seem to shoot better in my Mk3 (my fault for sure).
CT really seems to be my go to these days for ammo... they always have something...
