Is there any group of Target shooters going to Crown Land?

Hi, I live in Brighton and do have some Crown Lands identified. But wanted to know if there are any enthusiasts out there who go to crown land for shooting tagets? I would like to join the group and get more info on this new sport. I don't have any gun club memberships as im new to the sport. I have a Tikka T3 (30-06) and would like to take it out for some practice shooting.
Please do give me your inputs or any information on any such groups. I can share the crown land info also.

I was thinking about the same thing, however I was considering setting up a 100 yard target on a hillside with my GPS.
 
Which area are you thinking about? I did find a nice place in Bobcaygeon side.... the targets can be set at different distances..... its a safe area too..... but loads of mosquitoes... I use a bug spray (lol) when i am there...
Which side are you planning your setup?
 
My aunt lives in Brighton, next time I go to her place for the weekend I would love to go shooting if you have somewhere in mind, and would gladly tag along, last time I was out there I was talking to the guy who owns the bait and tackle shop and he goes out to shoot on crown land, he might be able to point you in the right direction,

My sister lives out in Brighton (on the water) and also has a cottage in Presqu'ile (also on the water - nice because she can boat back and forth between the two). Sadly, no land to shoot on. If you do find somewhere around there and want company, let me know - my SKS needs some fresh air.
 
I'm not in your area, but I'm also looking to go shoot on crown land. I must say though ... it's kind of intimidating to find a spot, and just go shoot on it. I'm just so used to shooting on a range. I'm a little worried that those houses near the crown land (~100-500m away), will call the police because of gunfire.

Also, do you just park your car on the side of the road and kind of "hike in" to your spot?
