Ive given my brother this rifle a BSA think it might be a cf2 anyways, Iv had it for years never could get it to group well had it glass bedded , monunts changed , three scopes on it all with the same results best i could get out of it was roughly 3-4 in groups at 100 yards . I lent it to a friend last year and when i got it back with the bore looked like a sewere pipe , i scrubed & scrubed and managed to get it looking decent some pitting the lands are worn , i took it out with my brother last weekend & it was all over the place. 1st group me 6in 2nd group my brothe 8in & it got worse & worse our friend who was doing unussually well with his 338 thought he could do better only put one out of three on a 3 x4 sheet of ply wood . it used to be erratic with 150 s better with 180 s . gonna try some 200 s this weekend. any ideas . dont really want to retire it its a beutiful action . is it a big deal to rebarrel ?
