Is there hope for handgun lovers in future?

It is so heartbreaking to begin to accept the reality that many people might not have the chance to own their desired handgun till they will pass. I used to have a very long list of handguns on my bucket list that I was hoping to buy, but now the hope seems less. In my own opinion, I think the ban is just too harsh on gun enthusiasts. I'm sorry for bringing my personal frustrations to your views, I believed I am not alone this matter. I know this is a place where I can connect with like-minded people and share my opinion. The question I kept on asking myself is this, is there a possibility the ban could be lifted in the near future, and if so, what factors do you believe might influence such a decision?

Near future? not a chance, but who knows.
If you wanted handguns , why did you not buy some?
They have been my main interest for over 60 yrs.
This a case where we need elected people in federal govn't , but the majority of votes are in the big cities, and most don't know/ care about us.

I bought some, but you know other bills wont let one buy all at once

I too am a handgun enthusiast, and hope that Pierre reverses the freeze. I'd be pissed if he didn't. But would I bet my house on it?

Honestly I think Trudeau gonna scortch earth for firearm owners, just before election. Doesn't need guns as election fodder.

Its gonna be a huge mess that it take years to fix and then people will complain that they're not doing anything.

Life will be better after trudeau is gone. I see handguns being returned to before ban state. Not so hopfull for the AR

I think there is hope for handguns. I did not own any before the ban but I joined the craze, almost got all what I wanted, would rather have a Glock 17 than a Glock 48, a rail on my Turkish gun, but we all know how things went down at the time.

About the only hope we have is if the Conservatives get a majority at next election and rescind all this crap.

Personally I wish we only had 2 parties, then this alliance wouldn't be allowed to happen. Where it is 4 against 1. Were a minority could be ran like a majority.

There is no hand gun BAN. The only thing that changed was not allowing transfers to an individual except those with separate qualifications.

There are several places where that could be opened up or changed without a lot of fanfare.

As long as lots of people press the CPC on this issue post-election there is hope.

Is there a hope that people care enough to actually commit to action in the real world instead of just moaning on internet forums? That is the real question...

I sincerely hope so, and don't think it's something PP can be promising now...or that it's even smart to talk about it now. We know that Trudeau is a spineless idealogue who doesn't actually accomplish anything, his strength is in convincing complacent/comfortable Canadians in the mushy middle that we're the bad guys. And he's gotten pretty good at it unfortunately.

PP should hold his cards close right now, but we should all be prepared to ring the bell loudly when he wins. With the mess Trudeau has made in Canada, I don't think it's realistic to assume it'll be PP's top priority (or even in the top 5) but we're all looking for positive change, and asap.
