is there some cdn wwII watch collectors?

Okay. One of the lads I e-mailed said they were outside his normal scope, but looked completely authentic. The other gent had lots to say. Here are his comments, edited for brevity and clarity to non-watch people:

These watches are made by Waltham and would have originally been issued in 1942.

These watches should have a Waltham Premier 6/0 '42 16-jewel movement (which is a POS according to my watchmaker). The movement should hack; however, due to servicing over the years - many a watchmaker didn't put back the series of 2-3 levers required to enable the hacking mechanism.
(Explanation: "hacking" means the watch stops when the winding crown is pulled out- not all mechancial watches did this in the 40s. KOC)

The dials on these watches were all redone 'en masse' by the RCAF around 1965, likely to replace the radium with the less radioactive tritium. The dials all have that white 'eggshell texture' to them as well as a mini notch at 3 o'clock. If removed, the dial will indicate the month and year (likely all in 1965) when the redial was done.

Approximate value will depend on the condition. Assuming they are both running well and that the owner can take better pictures than the ones he sent you, $200-$400 each.

As a side note, the RCAF watch on the left (in your pics) has its original Waltham crown. Very few do. Overall, they both seem to be in good condition.

Hope this helps. Further questions will be welcomed.
