There is nothing wrong with accesories as long as you are not traing to match colours to your bra and panties...

Wow, not the response I was expecting when I clicked the thread. Glad to see a strong turnout of the less-is-more crowd. I've never been a fan of what I call "Kitchen Sink Guns," so called because they're equipped with everything but.

Having tons of accessories is fine. Better to have and not need than to need and not have, but not on the gun all at the same time.

The text below is all just personal, ranting opinion.

I think you should only be allowed to have gear on your gun as long as it isn't redundant and serves a primary function. ONE flashlight. One system or thing to aim the rifle, not including iron sights. If you can justify more accessories, sure. If the justification is "looks cool" and you're serious about that, only one accessory with that justification can be permitted. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. I hate seeing a guy who seriously thinks that having a red dot with a huge 50mm scope that has another red dot in front of it and three lasers with integrated flashlights, next to a surefire flashlight will be any kind of help.

Most important... ONLY ENOUGH RAILS TO HOLD WHAT YOU HAVE ON THERE. I hate seeing a double quad (octo-rail) rail forend with a flattop rail that has a set of rails on the each side and a bunch of s**t on the gun that has rails on that too so you can have accessories on the rails of your accessories.

Then again, having a tacticooled AR for s**ts and giggles that has it's own weight in accessories is a little joy - but not a serious thing by any means. Should only be used to troll people like me on the internet.

I thought this thread was to poke fun at the AR15 in the picture, not to debate tactical viability of rail design....

It's like seeing three people suddenly chime in about the viability of spoilers on sports cards after someone posted up a picture of a kitten sitting a cardboard box with the word, "PORCHE," written in big black felt marker on the side with the caption, "We rollin, they hatin!"

That's nothing. Take a look at this abomination.

From the site:
# Mounts a Glock 19 pistol underneath any long firearm (assault rifle, shotgun or SMG) for a unified, tactically-enhanced, dual weapon system

# Glock pistol doubles as backup weapon and forward grip
# Suitable for left-handed or right-handed shooters
# Attaches to a standard Picatinny rail
# Requires only minor modification to the pistol: Glock charging handle
mount replaces Glock slide cover plate.
# Charging handle allows handgun to be charged while mounted
underneath long gun.
# Cutting edge ergonomic design
# Durable & lightweight
# Quick connecting user installed
# Ensures your backup weapon is kept readily available at all times

The Fab Defense looks like a real ad, but also looks a bit like the Eddy Murphy sketch above it.

My favourite pick of the lot is the shovel-handle AK. That's gold!

My own personal input; on my AR, I have IS, not BUIS.
