Is this a dumb idea? 1911 project

Hello,

Some of you have seen my 1911 project (below) using a Dlask frame, Norinco Slide and STI/Wilson internals. I thought about this idea watching American Chopper. Their custom theme choppers gave me an idea to make a theme 1911.

No here is my idea. I am a huge fan of the Canadian Air Force. I am an even bigger Avro Arrow junkie. I am thinking of an all white (armacoat) 1911 painted in the Arrow theme with CF-105 marked on the slide.

Am I just smoking something or is this a cool idea?

I'm a 1911 fan... [as you might've guessed from my sig line].... and generally pretty conservative.... I think your idea of a theme 1911 is actually pretty cool... ... go for it.

Okay,

I am going to do it. I have a Rinco 1911A1 coming from MarStar on the shipment coming in. I think it has to be a an A1 not a Commander. As soon as I get started I will start a thread. I will try to make it tasteful and if it looks like crap when it is done I will strip and put it back to black.
