just looking for opinions as im not a rifle guy. Think i will hold off for a bit.
Good choice. I don't know if it's a good deal or not, but if that guy says go for it, thats a good reason not to.

Try TradeEx first. If you can't find a VERY good quality hunting rifle there.....you aren't looking!
There's a lot more out there that's a better deal. If you want new, check out the other packages out there by all the major brands. If you want used, you can probably do a build with a better rifle at the same price. Good luck to you. You're in Ft. Mac, there's a guy on AO that can give you some pointers. +1. There are some great rifles at TradeEx at great prices.
combos deals are rarely a stellar deal their more for getting you started personally I wouldnt but it. If its the rifle you want then go for it but id rather buy a tikka t3 and save for a few months for quality optics but like I said the combos deals will get you in the game fast but you'll more then likely sell the scope/rings down the road.

It is a fair deal but nothing to rush into, shop around and think about it for awhile.
Not a bad deal but like has been said, you are better off to build your own combo. In my experience the combo deals usually have a decent rifle, so-so mounts and a cheapo scope. A couple hundred bucks intelligently spent on scope and mounts will make you a lot happier.
