Recently picked up this rifle, tagged in the store as "Swiss K1911 rifle". I am double checking to make sure I use the correct ammunition, 7.5 x 55. Also, learn what I can about this rifle.
I have tried to seekout the serial number to match it to a year of production and model. I wasn't able to determine anything from that, I have a couple of pics that may help someone whom is familiar with this firearm.

The above image is inside the stock below the reciever.

The above image is looking down at the reciever and barrel.

The above image is on the side of the buttstock. I believe this is the name of who owned the rifle and the city in Switzerland.
barrelnumber by ugh457, on Flickr
This image is on the underside of the barrel. This also has the only different numbers from the serial. Matching serial is on the bolt, reciever, stock, handguard and the magazine. The last 3 digits are matching and located on the trigger, sear, trigger guard.
I wonder if it has been re-barreled?
Thanks for any help you can provide...Chris.
