Is this case actually Ross related?

Just speculating, but since everything else out of the ross factory said "Ross" on it, I would expect an ammo pouch to as well. I have nothing to back that up except the voices in my head. And they're unreliable at best.

It is a Canadian Oliver Pattern 1916 ctg pouch for issue with SMLE, Ross and other .303" arms. This one was made by Eatons dept store.

The light came on that I had a copy of Tangled Web Canadian Infantry Accoutrements 1855-1985 and once I found that now see the ammo pouch is one (of two) for the Dismounted Equipment, Pattern 1916. Each pouch was to hold 75 rounds.
