Umm, yes it is. I've seen this before. The only possible use I could see would be as a gun grab prevention device. Perhaps a new method of storing your pistol by sticking it in the table at the range, or in the dirt???

That is actually for a Cz (don't remember which) pistol, he just stuck it on a Glock. I have an article about the Cz with pics of it with the bayo on, but the article actually never mentions the bayo.

Or how about this one by CZ

I'm always intrigued by this latest trend to mount lights on the front of pistols... it seems to me in a low-light combat situation that an opponent would naturally shoot towards it... in effect the projected light gives a focus/aiming point... in coming rounds are likely going to disable the pistol and likely the holder's hands...

But I guess the "cool" factor overrides the practicality of it all, no?

And the knife on the end of it is just stupid...

Try aiming at a 65- or 90-lumen light a split-second after it hits your night-adapted eyes from a mere fifteen feet.

I agree about the knife, but maybe someone in the tactical community can enlighten the both of us. Or maybe not.

I'm not talking about "aiming"... I'm talking "point & shoot".... I'm betting the rounds go right at or very near the source of the light. Unless of course the source of the light is immediatly able to move off from the line of fire... ;)

Well, I've never done it, but plenty of people who fight for a living use lights on their guns, both handgun and carbine. Others use the FBI or modified FBI technique. Me, I know that a light on a gun is a lot faster than in the weak hand, so I put one on my gun.

And soon, a bayonet for the true armchair commando effect.

Well I don't know about the utility of the knife, (Cutting cleaning patches to size?) but the "L" shape is so that if you press your muzzle right up hard against your opponent, you don't push your slide out of battery and disable your pistol. I don't know if it's really a "gun fight" at that point though...

You're totally missing the point of this whole thing. This contraption is a three in one for late night snacks; - the light gets you to the fridge without waking up your wife, the knife lets you make a mean SPAM sandwich, and the pistol part is for the "back off...get your own sandwich" part. It's a kitchen accesory man, not a combat accesory!

Okay, in that case I'll take two of 'em..lol... :D

Good one, BTW... ;)

the light would blind your opponent, so its easier to neutralize him:p

Lets not forget

The Pritchard bayonet on the Webley Mk6
At the time I suppose it made sense in a trench raid. Try reloading a revolver in the dark while in close contact with Fritz and his buddies.;)
