Is this gun rare/valuable? Marlin 336 in 44 mag

I recently stumbled into a marlin 336 with a gold saddle ring chambered in 44 mag.
Now I don't plan on selling this gun, but I am wondering if it is worth more or less than a standard $400 336 in 3030 or the like. Most guys who I have asked in person about it did not realize such a gun exists.
Condition is a regular used hunting gun, not new by any means but a solid hunter.

I would say not common rather than rare. I want a rifle in .44Magnum eventually and it will probably be a Marlin 1894. If offered a 336 like yours I wouldn't give more than I would for an 1894, but someone who sees it as desirable for a collection might well pay a premium.

I wouldn't say that it has huge value. But, much more valuable than a common $400 336 in 30-30.

You rarely see them for sale as they were only made for a short period of time back in the 60's if I remember correctly.
