The Stock numbers are american origion, and the contract number on the cover is the American type. But a lot depends on where your helmet came from; the US or Canada.
I remember our helmet covers being reversible from the green colour to the (shilo dead grass) tan colour. I also remember removing the earlier version of the chinstraps back in the late 70s, and replacing them with the chinstraps which are on your helmet.
I would have to check my old microfiche downstairs to see, but it may have been that we simply procured our helmets and components from COLOG (cooperative logistics) in the US. It was the main purchaser for materials for the 4 branches of the US military, and we would buy a lot of out stuff from them at very favourable prices.
