is converting a shotgun to fire another type of ammo even legal in Canada??

Why not? Plenty of guys here seem to have them, take 'rifled for accuracy' with a grain of salt. They will not transform your Cooey into a target rifle.

If you're asking about 'legal to shoot out of my 12g' then I certainly agree with the other members.

However, you may want to check your provincial hunting regulations, in regards to taking an animal with, say, a .357 during a shotgun season. For instance, during the controlled (shotgun) season in Ontario I could not use a .357 magnum to take a whitetail.
Please excuse me if you already knew this. Some might not.

Due to their short 'barrel' length they are not very accurate at anything past pistol distances, IMX

I was more questioning if this device was actually legal, from the perspective of a new gun owner, it just appeared to be wrong.... I'm not much of a hunter, unless it is clay pigeons. my Brother & SIL want me to get them some Deer in the fall.. I dont know if I can actually kill a deer, last time I tried, I was a kid and couldn't kill a deer... However I do love smoked duck, and I have a smoker in the build stage..
