I was out at the range yesterday for the first time with my SR-22. I started off using a Gen 2 Promag 9/22 mag and found I was having quite a few problems with FTE, FTF, and stovepipes. I tried the stock 10 round Ruger mag and never had a problem. I've read a few threads saying to take a bit of plastic off the feed lips but I'm think I may have a different problem; check out the pics, there seems to be a bit of deformed plastic at the front of the feed ramp, you have to look closely. Is this normal?

mine also looks like that and i also have feeding/eject issues have not tried to modify either so interested to know if it is an issue.

That small bit at the front is normal. It is there to give the correct angle feed into the chamber.
Sorry you're having issues. I have 3 of these mags (a gen1 and two gen2) and have had none of the issues people describe.
Hopefully Hical can fix you up; but in the mean time, next time you're at the range, look and see through the eject port how the feed lip/ramp looks in relation to the chamber with the 10 rnd and the Promag... it might give some insight into your issue.

Only other thing I can suggest is try a few different brands of ammo. My setup loves the CCI Blazer ammo, but absolutely HATES the Remington copper jacket stuff... it will not feed at all.

I also have the same issue with both of mine, and have yet to find a fix for it. Tested them against BC banana mags to be certain, and it's definitely a Promag problem. Why they're not using steel lips is beyond me...

I have the same problem with one of the 2 I got... the other works great they also both look the same... I also have no problem with the BC (but they don't look cool on the sr22) and the 10 rounders work good... also I have tryed lots of differnt types of ammo...

Try removing the feed lips & making sure the rounds are not binding as they come up, we have had to remove some material from the feed passage before to eliminate problems. Try different ammo, be sure your rifle is seated fully in the kit & your mag lips are not contacting the bottom of the bolt.
