For me, the intimidating thing is not just the size. It's when the track is 4 or more inches deep. A pile of crap, the size of a microwave, with 20,000 berry's .......no bells.

I can recall a moose hunt a bunch of years ago where I got clobbered by a bunch of thick bush to get to the river.
Dang if I could smell a bear.
And it was raining hard.
Finally broke thru the bush only to find fresh grizz prints in the sand in front of me big as shown above.
What woke me right up was the realization that the smell was still lingering and the rain hadn't washed
the prints any.
The safety was immediately off and a chopper ride would of been a god sent.
