Hi I have a bottle of heavy duty clear aerosol grease. I am wondring if this is a safe lubricant to use on gun cleaning. It is made by invisilube anyone heard of it or used it. It is ust a Canadian Tire special but think it may be a good choice.
thanks

Should be fine, but it's not exactly ideal. I looked it up, here's an MSDS for it; State Chemical Invisilube MSDS. It's basically just white grease in an aerosol can, which is very mild and not particularly tenacious. It'll work, but don't expect incredible performance out of it, it's probably no better than regular $3 wheel bearing grease. Hope that helps!

Basically any grease will work. There's a vast selection of greases at Cambodian Tire, just pick whichever grease sounds the best to you, it probably won't matter in the end. Silicone based lubes will work good too, like Super Lube (although I wouldn't bother personally, it's too expensive), and lithium grease is also very effective. My favorite stuff so far is moly grease (basically wheel bearing grease with molybdenum disulfide mixed in), I got a tube of it for $10 at an auto parts store and man does it work good! Just go with whatever tickles your fancy, it all works :D
