Do you guys think this scope would work well on my 416 Ruger Alaskan and if so does anyone make 3/4" rings to fit the Ruger bases?

Well, the choice is yours but there are other options. You might be out of luck with finding 3/4" rings though. Maybe use tape to make up the diameter difference to 1" ? ;)

Here's my 416 Ruger Alaskan with a Nikon Omega BDC 250 3-9x40mm. Moose stomper.

Is the electrical tape a joke? A good rub on the OP? there is no way I would let 1/8 inch around the scope make up from tape!

Even better is the epoxy putty that hardens up. Although hot glue is easy, and you probably have some on hand. Did it once with expanding foam, too messy.

1/8" copper stock works better, you just pound it into the lower halves with a piece of pipe the right dia and then do the same with the upper halves........voila scope bushings. I too have used the electrical tape bushing method (I am an electrician after all) , it works OK too.........

The funny thing is..There are many rings with bushings. I actually think that wrapping a 1" scope in electric tape for 30mm rings would actually work for some time. Good enough to be minute of moose, anyway. FOr awhile. :)

I used the exact same scope in Weaver rings on an old 358 Norma Magnum years ago. Held the scope perfectly! You can probably do the same with Ruger rings.

Just wrapped the scope tube tightly in cotton thread soaked in corn starch until it was about 1 1/8 inch in diameter, then put it in the rings and tightened it all up. Set it next to the fire overnight, and when morning came not only was it tight in the rings, but the scope was no longer fogged up.
