I got this from a buddy who got it for airsoft. It cost him between $150 and 200. He sold it to me for $25, because on his airsoft M4 it nearly outweighed the rifle. It's SOLID aluminum construction, with a really really wide FOV, and a great little reticle that has 11 red-illumination settings (from very subtle to very bright). The windage and elevation adjustment knobs are nice and solid too.
But... I think it was designed for an AR15. It's got a tall base, and it's got a hole through the base so you could use the front iron sight and use the base as a diopter. Unfortunately my AR15 is a stock CQ311, and I'm not inclined to modify it since I can only shoot it on a loud indoor 50m range.
Can I mount this on an M305 and use it properly? Will the peep hole work with the M305 front blade, or will things not line up?
I really really like the FOV and magnification this scope provides, and I even like it's ugly-duckling looks.
Anyone have advice?
