Put and add out to buy used SVT's got this one offered for 400, from what I can tell its a Izzy, regular stock with sniper rails but no notch, by the markings i don't recognize and the rail is it worth the 400$ used? Anything special about this one or should I pass for the price? Their 375 right now at retailers. I was thinking its value is more around 300$ tops for the rifle itself used.

I sold one in much much better condition for 400$ last month. It was one Corwin arms brought in 2 years ago, it was unfired and a really beauty, 41 tula with a 6 port muzzle break. It pained me to let it go for that. Honestly unless there is something I'm not seeing I think you're right at thinking 300$ is fair. I'm no collector or pro though

That was my thought. Seems pretty standard to me I just wanted to see if anyone would pic up on something I never noticed. I just picked up a mint 4 port one with AVT stock from leaver arms. It was is fantastic shape. I also got a podolsk for just 360$ 2 years ago, Had no idea was It was will I looked up the stamp.

That one that you pictured does have an SVT38 magazine. But $400 seems to be cheap these days for SVTs... Around here I've been seeing them go for no less than $500 and upwards of $600 and these aren't rare-er years or snipers or anything either...

I kinda base Russian rifles value on the quality of the bore. If it's brand new inside then maybe it's worth 400$? But I agree, they are getting harder to come by. I'll never let go of my early import from Germany even if it's only a "field sniper" with a "field notch" it's got the wear marks of a scope mount but I'm not sure of its authenticity
