is this the latest Norinco 1911?

In regards to Norinco accuracy, I'm very surprised at the quality of their barrels. No bones about it, they're very accurate in contrast to what I expect from a "cheap" pistol.

despite what the naysayers report, Norcs are great performers from what I've seen/experienced. A little rougher and not quite so pretty as those they duplicate, but in the past years they've come a long way in these departments. For the price I'd recommend a norc to my best friend...hell, I buy them!

I agree. The only reason I was rid of mine was because I needed cash at the time. I have a few nice pictures of it that I look at time to time when I miss it but I know a good shooter bought it and is taking care of it.

..boys and their guns, eh?

The biggest issue on Nork 1911 pistols has been the sights, now that they are upgrading them, you will see a big differance. the quality differance between my earlier commander and my current one is quite a leap forward. i predict that Norinco is going to chew up a lot of the police and military firearms market outside of NATO.

for these Norinco 1911's, do I have to upgrade the barrel?
