I was on the website today and noticed that they are not listing 455 or 44 russian dies sets any more...I just bought a 455 set a couple of months ago.

They used to have 4 or 5 pages of die sets listed now they only have one page of eight...

What's up?

(I tried calling but they were too busy at the time - Sat on hold until I gave up)

I think their site is rogered...none of the categories with multiple pages are showing any navigation links or buttons for accessing the other pages.

I have also bought items that weren't on the website...Problem is getting someone to answer the phone to confirm availability...

Do they have those available at the stores? I haven't had one sent to me since 2005/2006.

Cabelas/S.I.R. doesn't have a problem sending out catalogues. I've got three so far this year.

.

They had boxes of them the other day. The last time I was there a month or so ago, they were still using the 2006 one.

I would hardly consider not carrying 44 Russian dies to be 'scaling back'... haha... seriously, how many do you think they sell in a year? Two?

Not everything they carry is listed in the catalogue, I think...

From what I saw today the web site looked like it had problems. Everything seemed like 1 page tops, even if one would expect many more pages. However when I searched, I found hundreds of results all on one page. A kick into webmaster's balls is due.

I was at WSS Calgary at noon this past monday. The wait to talk to someone at the gun counter was about 45 min long. I just hate how you have to wait to talk to somone so they can get you dies or bullets. Russel has them on the shelves for you to find for yourself which I prefer. If it wasnt for my WSS gift card, I would have went to Russel.

I went in to purchase 2 sets of dies (22-250 and 7mm RUM), a shell holder for my 7mm RUM and a box of Nosler 30 cal BTs.

As it turned out, I waited 45 min to talk to someone who could fetch me the stuff I needed. They were out of 22-250 dies and I was given a set of 7mm Rem Mag dies and shell holder. Glad I noticed before I left the store. Ran back to the gun counter, butted in line with the same service guy and got the dies and shell holder I needed.

Still amazed they dont have a set of 22-250 dies in either RCBS or Redding. Only a single set of Lee dies.

Guess it looks like I'm going to shoot some more Walmart whitebox 22-250 ammo until they get in a set.

WSS 2008/2009 catalog

 No way!!! be still my beating heart. You mean I can finally retire my 2006 edition which now looks like it's been hanging in a road side out house.
It will be nice to have up dated order numbers and the like for ordering new things and to not to find out your back order has been discontinued.

I can imagine 455 and 44 Russian dies are too popular!:)

I dont imagine theyre all that poular either. Normally when I order something they have to bring it from their warehouse or another store. they dont usually have that stuff just on the shelf....but, Not seeing it on the website any more made me wonder if they stopped handling them all together...

...but it sounds like they might just be having website problems at the moment. Probably nothing to worry about.

I ordered a kinetic bullet puller and some bullets, confirmed that they were in stock with the order girl. They waited over a week to call and tell me the puller wasn't in stock but they could get one in 2-3 weeks if I really wanted one. I realize it was just the phone person's attitude but when they asked if I still wanted the bullets take a wild guess what I told them.

I hope you passed on the puller. Those kinetic pullers are a POS. Just go with the actual puller and interchangeable collets.

If you still want one, I can I can get you a deal on a "slightly used" one.

Slightly used being..used it once..found it was a POS and then went with the other system.

I particularly like when , usually after an hour of waiting the salesperson checks on the computer and says we have three in the back. Then leaves you for another extended period of time and says I just can't find them.Oh happy day!!!!!I once drove 100 miles one way to get a nice Sav 99 in .250 they were holding for me and when I got there it's marked .22 HP! Idiots................Harold

Actually I wanted the puller for .45 ACP trucated cone lead. Wouldn't stick through my press to grab with side cutters. I ordered one from Dillon. Slow but works great.

.

The kinetic shellholders work great. But you need to throw away the elastic/lead thingee and use a reloading shellholder instead. Trust me.

You owe me a beer for that one!
