Trying to read the other threads but they're filled with so much gibberish.

Simple, do you own an FX9? Is it reliable?

If you're having stoppages, what are they, failure to extract, failure to eject or both?

Thanks,
Trevor

Mine had a rocky break in but runs without a hitch now. 400 rounds it took to get it “broken in”. I would recommend this rifle.

There are a lot of active treads on CGN already to help you make your decision. And you should read between lines of course - nobody likes to admit expensive mistakes but it’s clear (only to me, you make your own mind) that I need to wait till Version 2 release. Just think about this nonsense ‘break-in” this firearm required. Makes me think about AK-74 - Kalashnikov would laugh in your face :)

Is yours reliable?

I have one, and had non stop failure to extract and double feed. My first 40 rds was literally stoppages every 2-3 shots. After 100 rds it got a lot better. Maybe 1 ftf or fte. I used the sgm mag that came with the gun, glock 17 gen 5 mags and ETS 10/31 mags. Hopefully after 300rd it will be smooth like everyone else says.

I had some intermittent jams when using campro 147gr but when I switched to RN bullets (only had 50) I had no issused. As a test my buddy tried a couple mags of my 147gr in his FX9 and he had a few jams. When he was running blazers he had no issued. Both of us used SMG mags, both the 10/30’s and the 10 it came with. His was definitely reliable. If I was using RN I think mine would be have been completely reliable.

I knew about using truncated bullets and it performed better than I had hoped considering my ammo selection.

The fun meter was off the chart.

I have been having a lot of malfunctions with mine. FTE very frequently. What type of ammo are you guys running? 115 Rem UMC FMJ RN, 124 Blazer Brass FMJ RN have been giving a lot of malfunctions as well. I cleaned and lubed the PCC so that is not an issue.

Which FTE, extract or eject?

As of this afternoon I have 812 rounds through with 25 malfunctions. The vast majority were ft eject and 21 of those happened in the first 100 rounds. The rifle was very tight when new, you could feel the bolt dragging when you cycled the gun by hand.

My Glock mags do not hold the bolt open on the last round but the sgm and pmag do.

I was a bit frustrated at first but I also expected it to happened based on what I had read on CGN. I still find it odd that the US guns seem to function better out of the gate but there really wasn't a lot of reviews that I found on YouTube.

This gun is plenty accurate for me and has become one of my favourites to shoot. I think I will get another when they are readily available.

I'll also note that out of approx. 450 reloads, both 115 and 124 gr, I had zero malfunctions. I am assuming that they are a bit hotter than the factory loads.

Sorry, I should have clarified. Failure to eject. The cases are getting stuck in the receiver and causing malfunctions.

I wonder if running hotter ammo would help? I don't handload. Any suggestions for hotter factory 9mm rounds?

I’m at 600 rounds only had one FTE, FTF which occurred at the same time. Was the junk mag it came with. Once that was removed all was well. Lubricted before it was shot and cleaned after every range trip, approx 300 rounds each. Shot 115 and 147 grain. Has been super reliable for me, no word of a lie. Literally 0 issues. I’m not sure what’s going on with some other people’s rifles but I feel like some lube and some authentic Glock mags would fix their issues.

I must be lucky cause I shot it without any issues, knock on wood and this includes a personal recipe for sub sonic and it functions and cycles reliably without issue. again knock on wood !
