Isnipe app problem

Anyone else having a problem downloading current weather conditions to isnipe? Mine keeps flashing "error, unable to reach weather provider". A friend of mine is having the same problem. Anyone know how to fix this?

does it for me too, but i never use that feature

iv found i get better results with a kestrel and entering my own weather data, as it's real time accurate to location

as for a fix, i guess youre stuck waiting for an update

I had the same problem.
I had to re-start my phone, to use isipe again. I don't know the fix.
I use my Kestrel too.

Just noticed mine is doing the same. Bcode will have to release an update for IOS8 users.

Same issue for me. I thought it was a network issue. It worked fine a couple of weeks ago still running iOS 7 no plans to upgrade until I'm forced too. Hope there is a fix soon.

Same issue, emailed Isnipe and got this response

There is a problem with the weather provider, fix is on the way

Is there anything specific?
I'm using an original 3G iPhone and it's not upgradeable, or I'm not willing to. However, everything on iSnipe is working with the exception of automatic weather input. I'm using real-time with my kestrel.

Fwiw, real-time inputs give a more accurate solution.
Kestrels are inexpensive, or go to a marine supply store and buy like/kind/quality for even less.

I can't find the mildot reticle hold over.

I bought a Kestrel 4500 with Bluetooth to use with the Ipone but it is not compatible for connectivity. Haven't used my Kestrel yet.
