Israel Arms Ltd.

No, it's not the BUL. Armco has them listed for sale. He makes some reference to Norinco in the description that I don't quite understand. Are they Norks or Israeli made?
They look pretty nice with the chromed frame.

Good question, I have a norc without the crome that looks very similiar minus the Isreali markings. Anyone know if they are made in Israel or if not why the markings?

Hi, guys

These guns are marked Israel Arms with no mention at all of Norinco. The parts (Darn nice parts, too) are the new Norinco 1911A1-C ones, internals, etc. The barrels are a little more polished, the slide has extra top serrations, the front sight is a dovetail one, there is a screwed-on mag button extension, the rear sight is very nice, the thumb safety and slide stop are the extended ones as seen on the NP29, the grips are the new rubber 1911A1-C ones - quite nice - but the frame is the major difference. Hard chromed, beveled magwell, squared, serrated triggerguard - a real classy gun! The gun also has a Texas importer's name on it. Hmmm.

It definitely has Norinco pieces, possibly even assembled in China, but is a really nice gun for $595, especially with our tune-up on it. Six done so far (2 left) and more to come :)

A good point is that these guns should be able to be carried in the US...

Israel does a fair number of contracts for the PLA, so it would not surprise me that they would be working with Norinco.

Gunnar,

Any chance you could beadblast the slide for a customer before shipping it out? I'd rather refinish the slide to GunKote instead of blued...

I'd be very interested were it not for the blued slide... it doesn't look 'right' to me with the hard chromed frame.. :)

Nice looking pistol in terms of set-up and mods... I could do without the two tone finish, though. That is so 1980's... :p ... Personally, I'd take the tuned Norc Commander over this model because I'd like to have a single finish pistol.
