I've always liked their folding stocks.

Wondered why the IDF ever got rid of them - they seemed like a well thought out carbine? The logical and best extension of the AK.

I hope OP gets to shoot his Galil one day.

Receivers cracked, and they are too heavy. Hence the infantry brigades transferred all the Galil to Artillery Corp and used M16.

I've never heard of a forged and milled, solid steel Galil Receiver cracking - that is news to me. I fired several thousand rounds out of my Galil ARM (though you'd never know to look at it) before the cessation of SAPs, and never noticed any issues whatsoever. The gun is a literal sewing machine, akin to the G36. Moreover, with that forged steel receiver it is a vertitable "tank" able to take abuse that would readily destroy many more "modern" designs.

My buddy who carried an R4 (Galil AR) in the South African Pathfinder Company of 44 Parabat never complained about the rifle's weight and claimed that their R4/5/6s were both totally reliable and incredibly hard-wearing. Indeed, the Galils may have seemed heavy by stripped-down M16A1 standards, but compared to many of today's heavy-barrelled ARs and other in-service Assault Rifles festooned with gadgetry, the Galil is just fine weight-wise. The South Africans have never complained about the weight of their Galils, which continue to serve iin 2020 without signs of replacement. 40+ years spent "soldiering" in the inhospitable South African terrain and climate has only further enhanced the Galil's reputation as a superb Assault Rifle capable of shrugging off exceptional abuse.
