Israeli Kahles scopes BDC cammed for??

I had a similar situation when I bought a surplus Zeiss scope (with bullet drop compensation) from Israel at one time installed on one of their sniper rifles. I was able to find out on the Internet the caliber of this rifle (.308).

You probably could do the same....... will look up the link and see what I come up with. Will edit my post if I find it.

Good luck and hope you got just as good of a deal as I did. This Zeiss model had a retail price of $1600 and I got it for around $400.

This is the scope I bought from a Mauser SP 66 as seen on the top picture. You can see the vertical knob graduated in distances.

I haven't been able to find your combination but I saw similar lists for other periods, etc.

This link might be useful:

The gun here is based on the M-14 action and is also in (.308)

Thanks, I'm looking to find out if my ZF 84 6x42 contract scope is cammed for standard ball or a specific target or sniping load.

I understand that some of the scopes have cams which say "M118" referencing "M.118 special ball", but mine just says "M14"

i would think it would be a sniper load. witch would be national match grade 308/7.62. would figure that to be around 165/175gr?

What is the year of these scopes? I would imagine 70's early 80's.
I have M118 Lake city match from 1972. It fires a 173 grain bullet at 2550fps

Found this info at Scopetica.com

The ZF-95 scope has the necessary features of a one inch diameter (26mm), one-piece steel tube nitrogen purging for fog and water resistance a matte black, heat cured enamel finish 42mm objective objective diopter adjustment #22 Ranging reticle; and clearly marked, externally adjustable turrets for both windage and elevation.

The ZF series also has pre-calibrated elevation turrets available for:
69 grain .223,
168 grain .308 Win,
165 grain 7mm Rem Mag,
190 grain .300 Win Mag cartridges
- as well as a blank turret.

The Kahles ZF-95 is a scope worthy of VERY serious consideration for use on an urban tactical rifle. It offers the best of all worlds at a price that is competitive with similar domestic tactical scopes. This one came from the IDF (Israeli army) used by the snipers unit.
