Israeli Mauser

There are at least two versions of magazine conversions. One has a single block, the other has two, one at each end. Maybe one was more effective than the other.

Take out your bolt and see how the shells fit between the bolt face and the extracted claw . It shouldn't be loose but should click in fairly easy . If you eliminate the claw fit being the problem then it may be the feed lips , is the problem on one side or the other eg she'll 1&3 or 2 & 4 ?

Just to be sure, you do know the rounds have to feed from the magazine to get gripped by the extractor claw properly.

Remove bolt and confirm that when you feed the case onto the bolt face that the extractor holds case on to the bolt face.

The only problems I have with mine are after firing a few rounds the shell gets stuck in the chamber. Thats after shooting cheap steel case ammo, iv never shot brass in mine yet

Are you sure there not popping up in front of claw . If from one side only try going very slow and watching the shell come out of the mag . Try shimming the mag follower with buisness card etc and see how it effects the way the shell feeds

I think I identified the issue, it looks like if the round below the top round to be fed is too far forward, it knocks the feeding round out of the extractor claw which causes the round to be in front of the claw. Not sure how I can fix that issue.

Not all Israelis has spacer put in the magazine. They used what they had. Mine has a regular magazine/trigger guard and feeds .308 just fine. I'd say maybe it's a problem with your extractor?
