Hello CGNer's.

I just read a negative thread on the ISSC Mk 22 rifle in the North Sylva spot which has since been locked.

I was actually thinking seriously about getting a couple of these rifles in the Tan colour. What are the quality issues with these guns. I do NOT want a headache or something I will need to tinker with at all. I shoot, I clean, I shoot, I clean, not necessarily in that order, but I don't need a third step "repair junkie gun".

I understand that there were issues on the first batch, and that these have been cleared up.

1) Can anyone who has the "second batch" attest to this?
2) How can someone tell if they have the first or second batch?

Thanks for the time.

please someone chime in. i have been thinking about getting one too.

I don't know how to tell the difference between the first and second batch but if you do end up with the first you have a 50/50 chance of getting a lemon. I think you can tell with the serial number but that's all I know. I own one and yes I tinkered, but now it works.

I recently bought the MK 22 rifle (black color), I fired around 350 rounds with CCI ammunition and cycled flawless, but then it started to jam up, failure to feed, eject and not enought force by the hammer. I took it in and got it proffesionally cleaned and it still continue to jam, usually the first or fourth round. It is in right now at sylva to get fix.

Yes it is a 50/50 chance to get a lemon, but my friend bought one at the same time and has had no problems.

I bought one and used the light hammer strike solution on youtube. It worked well but I got bored and sold it. The buyer is having other issues now. If you don't mind working on it (I don't) it's OK. Bad side: it's heavy, needs maintenance. Good side: it's cool and nonrestricted.
