Is there a change in the model number stamped on the receiver to reflect the generation 2? How about issues with the latch breaking on the stock? Or am I thinking of a different version? Are parts still available?

I don't know how to determine if you have a gen 2. If you just bought it brand new I would assume so. I bought mine 4or5 years ago it was a gen 2. Yes the latch breaking on the stock are these ones. That's why I never fold mine

I’ve got 4000+ rounds through mine and it has been extremely fun and accurate. I started having consistent feeding problems recently, but that turned out to be a magazine issue that i fixed by loosening the black tabs that aid in loading.

I’ve had mine for 4 years and have probably 2500 rounds down the pipe and no real issues. Mags are a bit finicky to load and the odd ftf, but other than that I love mine.

I don’t want to take this off topic but I’m looking at the Anshutz version of this rifle as my first gun. Is it accurate enough to satisfy a desire to improve accuracy with .22 rifles? I’m not made of money and will probably own only a few guns so I’m looking for multi purpose guns, ones that are fun to use and ones that can satisfy a desire to “get better”. What I’m really saying is, if I’m interested in accuracy should I concentrate on getting a bolt action target gun or will this do just fine?

Broadly speaking accuracy = bolt action.

Just look at the folks who make the smallest holes, the benchrest community.

Centerfire or rimfire, it's always bolt action.

An Anshutz bolt action is a great choice, though I know you are thinking the semi auto.

Thanks, that’s what I guessed. The semi auto Anshutz/ISSC mentioned here does look like a barrel of fun though. This may be more expensive than I thought.

I never knew what benchrest was. Just read about it...that doesn’t interest me at all. I prefer the more “organic” approach.

It's always fun to have a reasonably accurate semi-auto 22, even if it doesn't compete with a bolt action. Everyone needs a 10/22 or similar semi-auto. Get a bolt action and semi-auto eventually, you will enjoy having them.

I certainly agree with the above.
I only brought up the benchrest guys to make the point about accuracy.

I have the GSG15. Becoming my favourite gun! Absolute tack driver. Ran 300 rds today with 0 problems. It loves cci mini mags. I have maybe 600 through mine with ftf attributed to finding right ammo and mags breaking in.

Love this gun!
