Issc mk22 just picked it up!

I wouldn't say it has a great trigger, but it's certainly not terrible. It has a little bit of squishy creep but it does break quite nicely.
Fit and finish is far better then any other of my tacticool .22's
It weighs in at just around 7 lbs so it does feel pretty substantial for a .22
Ill be going out to run it through it's paces tomorrow when I return home.

Was told I should have the tan one I oredered here this coming week, will give a test of it before I wrapped it up for X-mas for the nephew, will let you guys know how it handles, Everyone have a happy Turkey day!Dale Z

Ordered a tan on for my nephew( this generation like guns that look like they belong in Afganistan, just like I wanted gun that looked like they came from Vietnam I guess?)differrent generation ,differrent wants.
I hope his eyes bug out of his head on X-Mas day! cheers Dale Z!

...Uncle Zywina...will you buy me one for Christmas too?? :)

Sounds like you've got the "uncle of the year" award nailed-down. Nice!

I have ordered one and just waiting for the call to go get it, I can't wait... I ordered the the Tan model...
Does anyone know if there are any place at this time to buy extra mags.....

Mine is a jam-o-matic.... Only ammo that I have had any success with is cci stingers. also, be sure to tighten all the screws as I had the top rail come loose and my butstock come off in just 2 days of shooting. quality control seems a little shady if you ask me...

What kind of jams did you experience? FTE or FTF or just a mixed bag? How many jams per mag was the norm without stingers?

Thanks

Fte mostly but a couple ftf.... Was experiencing between one and as many as 5 per mag with different ammo... With stingers I had one fte & one ftf in a hundred rounds.

just did a thorough cleaning and tightened some of the screws around the action as some on the internet have suggested that it could help...will take it out on Wednesday and report the results. hopefully there is a drastic improvement because at this point, it is starting to feel like an oversized and rather expensive paperweight.

cons so far:

- many loose screws....3 top rails all became loose after 500ish rounds and the stock screw came all the way out after about 800, causing it to dislodge and fall to the ground.
- overly complex disassembly (requires 2 flat head screwdrivers)
- difficult to clean the barrel
- problems with feeding various ammo (other than cci stingers)...most ammo resulted in 1-2 fte per mag but I have has had as many as 5 in a single mag.
- cheap screws and allenheads that are easily stripped

pros:

- non-restricted
- fun to shoot (when it's not jamming)
- pretty decent accuracy

I bought this in hopes that it would replace my s&w 15-22 as the whole 10 round thing pisses me off. At this point quality and reliability do not even appear to be in the same ballpark.

I'm at that point. My friend has an SR-22 and shoots great. Jams alot though. But haven't tried alot of different ammo yet. The 50 round drums are aweful. I want a gun that doesn't weight more then 7 pounds. His is pushing over 10. My Savage BTVS with steel barrel is 9.5 lbs. The reason why I like the mossberg is the weight and price. Plus being non-restricted. And ontop of it, the M&P 15-22 is set at 10 round mags.
GURRR
So question, if they get rid of the long gun registration, will there be no restricted and non restricted catigories?

little_airwolf not at all. All that it will mean is that you no longer need to register any non restricted firearms with the CFC when buying, selling or trading. All the regulations regarding the ownership of restricted and prohibited firearms will remain as is.

Niksa

Is it more metallic in constuction than the S&W ? Sure wish someone in the GTA had these so that we could handle it before taking the $670 plunge .
