ISSC Scar

There have been many reports on this site and a search will give you a very good overall feedback. Mine has seen around 600 rounds through it by now with one FTE. Great gun!

I had two (now one). The first one was excellent, the second the same. Still haven't done any accuracy work with it, but if the bulk ammo is any indication it'll be fantastic with some good stuff.

Just to play devils advocate, there are many less than favorable reviews as well. Lots of people complaining about them basically working themselves loose etc. Those reviews steered me away from buying one. The fact that some people are perfectly happy and some people have guns that basically fall apart tells me that quality control is pretty dodgy on these...too bad really.

Here is a thread on it -

And a not so favorable video review -

A fella at the range this evening, who is a regular poster here, had his out. It worked for a bit, then it had to be disassembled and fixed. Then the process repeated. After the third go around he packed it up. Too bad, she looks awesome.

lol i think im that fella....its a piece o junk...stay away!!!

list of issues that mine has gone through:
1) all rails worked themselves loose in the first 150 rounds
2) after 200 rounds the buttstock fell off as a screw had worked its way loose
3) multiple FTE and light strikes (sometimes as many as 5 FTE on a single mag)
4) the "problem screw" that people have been speaking about worked its way out multiple times.
5) recoil stripped the threading of a critical nut (that connects the bolt to the frame)
6) for some reason the bolt began to close like halfway after the last round was fired from a magazine...inevitably causing a fail to fire on the next round
7) just today the button that adjust the cheekpiece fell out...and the spring disappeared somewhere at the range....
8) finish wear in many many different areas

I have done multiple fixes including replace hammer spring, replace firing pin, the gsg-5 firing pin mod, longer screws, locktite screws and sometimes these fixes would work for a while but nothing aleviated problems for more than a couple hundred rounds.

I really had high hopes for this gun....but in my honest opinion stay far far away!

Ya I was hesitant as well at first. Maybe I was just lucky. I took the gun apart and locktighted the two important screws and haven't even cleaned it yet. I'm at about 900 rounds, fit and finish still great. Can always get an SR-22, that was my other option.
