Calling all free pistol shooters, (I can already hear the jokes out here) does anyone here know where 50 meter indoor matches are conducted in Saskatchewan? I ask because the Wascana Club has this match listed in the old scheduale, but others tell me they only have 25 meter facilities.

Thank you.......

So why aren't you at the Nationals, Brutus? Free Pistol was last Friday. There probably are NO 50 metre indoor ranges in Canada. Most of us use reduced size targets - Cibles Canada has them. Otherwise for compliance with the ISSF rules the match is shot outdoors. Prince Albert has the main ISSF range in Sask. Contact Harvey Lavigne at Airguns Plus.

T&G, I only recently had my handgun repaired to firing condition. Also I now work in a union shop and I'm one of the lowest guys in the seniority for vacation time. I can't take my time off any time I want if someone else more senior than myself wants his vacation as well.
Something I just have to live with.

OK Brutus, CRPC will be holding a 5gun ISSF (all at 25metres) sometime in the later fall. C'mon down!
Sillymike - CRAFM?? Last time I was in Montreal was for Expo67! Didn't know about this range, but it is a long, long way from Alberta. Cheers --- Dr J

Thank you T&G! And do I monitor the event details via the Alberta Handgun Association website? I am ignorant of the match details for a 5gun ISSF event.
A few highlights if you don't mind friend?

Brutus, the AHA website, the AFSS website, and the SFC websites will all have match information on them. The Saskatchewan Handgun Assoc. also hosts a "Match Calendar". Calgary RPC info and match list are always up at "www.crpc.ca". You might also want to know about two important forums - www.targettalk.org and www.targetshooting.ca which has a message board.
5gun ISSF involves, Free Pistol (aka 50m pistol), Standard Pistol, Sport Pistol, Centrefire Pistol, RapidFire Pistol, and usually the CISM Military Rapidfire Match. Used to require more guns, but now Standard, Sport, and Rapid are shot with the same 22LR auto pistol, and Centre and MilRapid use the same centrefire gun - most commonly a .32 S&WLong . All the rules are on the ISSF site - www.issf-sports.org.

Happy surfing!
