Been anxiously awaiting my 1911 and 213 from Canam, but got an email today from them that I need to call the CFC regarding the transfer. No idea why,but now I'm a bit concerned. I'll call them tommorow to see what's up, but I'm wondering if this is a common thing? I want to make sure I'm prepared when I call them,to make sure I can get things moving.

DON'T CALL. IT'S A TRAP!!!!!

Hahahahahaha. Just call and tell them what they want to hear. Press 4 for "completing transfers. This is pretty standard.

I had to call in as I only gave Canada Ammo my box number and the cfc needs a physical address for the transfer. The cfc has my physical address but apparently I had to call in anyways. What a joke.

For my first restricted transfer they called me to tell me I need to apply/get a LTATT to put the transfer through. I told them I had done so 8 business days ago, she said she would look for the application and get it taken care of, the next day my transfer was complete and LTATT was in the mail :)

I feel your pain or sense of annoyance. I've ordered two pistols from CanAm and both times it was held up because of the address(rural)and the cfc needing my specific land location.

I asked them last week if they really thought I moved around that much.:D Next transfer I make I'll give a wrong digit in the location to see if they correct me.

Yep,called this morning and they wanted my land description. So,I went on their own site, entered my PAL number, and sure enough there's my Legal land description,so I read it back to them. She said that was all,and I was ready to go. When I got home, there was a message saying I needed to fax them a copy of my club membership before they could proceed.Getting a bit annoying, for sure.

On a side note, I got a call from the SQ the other day asking me if I had any objections to my buddy buying a Glock.

Do they call references every time a gun's purchased now??
