Issues with shorty m305 and Chinese ammo?

Same for me. One in five on average will fail to pickup with norinco ammo in my Canam shorty. Cycles every time with the Norma Custom 165gr with noticeably more recoil.

i've shot a whole crate of the brass cased norc stuff through my shorty and never had a problem...

I had the same issue with my old M305S, and it was the spindle valve. Blast the hell out of it with aeresol brake cleaner; mine was totally gummed up with cosmo and powder grime.

When I first got my shorty I had the same problem. One in 4 or 5 would eject but not pick up another round- but only with the Norc ammo. Other ammo of similar bullet weight was fine. Once I changed the spring and guide it worked fine. I think some of the Norc ammo is a few grains short of a proper load.
