It is time for a Change!

You won't get much feedback from Inliners because they are ashamed, they feel inadequate, they can't make things work so they go out and buy the latest gizmos, instead of lead, steel, and wood; it's plastic and pyrodex pellets.

I'll have you know that not every "inliner" has bought all the fancy gadgets. Many of us has had them given to us for anniversaries, Christmases, and birthdays over the years.:p

Well I own both from a match lock to a Savage inline that takes smokeless and I like hearing about both kinds but I will say Inlines like my Savage do not belong in primative wepons Zones for hunting because they are not!
 
Well I picked up an entry-level inline ML for 2 reasons this fall: they finally opened a season in the WMU I hunt, and I didn't know if I would like it or want to use it.After shooting this puppy a few times, both myself and my buddy are hooked. I am already seriously researching the primitives and hope to have one for next season. Long live the muzzy boom-boom stick!!!

I'm going to buy my first muzzleloader this summer and it's going to be a T/C Omega 50cal with a scope and I'll shoot 150gr Shockey's Gold and 250gr sabots.
 
I think its great we have a forum, I do not have an inline but if there were season here I might buy one. I love my hawken and enjoy blackpowder.
there are so many people against firearms and hunting as a whole we have to stick together as a whole.
 
I agree, inlines are a way to shoot blackpowder without the work and fuss, and are modern no question.
And the work and fuss is a big part of the fun.
I don't shoot either however, just Sharps rifles, but that is even trickier than the old way, and just as authentic.
It's just a different time period, and I don't think there were many inlines in the 1800s.
 
Muzzleloading is as challenging as you want to make it. Whether it's flinters, modern BP rifles or antiques it's just fun. If I could afford a blackpowder Sharpes I would have one.
 
When I go bowhuntin it seems easier to get close to deer because they haven't been shot at. Then the muzzleloader season starts, and by the end of it you need an inline & scope to have a decent chance. My thought is that the Muzzleloader season be extended to start a week or 2 earlier and allow primitive only for the extension ie. no sabots, open sights, bp or substitute & allow BPCR.
 
Time for a change

Bellydancer is a founding member of the West Coast Rangers Blackpowder Club, here in Port Alberni( 30 yrs +). We have our own range (120 leased acres) and are strictly a Blackpowder club and we re-enact the fur trade era.Bellydancer has put a tremendous amount of effort into getting the club to where it is today.
Bellydancer is a dyed in the wool traditionalist, in case you might not have noticed ;) anyway where I'm going with this is, we are hosting a Muzzleloader Fun Shoot at our (dyed in the wool traditional) Range, ANY type of muzzleloader is welcome, don't care if you have scopes either :eek:
The idea is for everyone to come out and have fun, and learn from each other!
We have 2 complete sets of Silhouettes we can shoot :50cal: so we can have 8 shooters on the line at a time.
This is strictly for fun ---no scoring---no prizes---coffee and doughnuts though :D
