Went to the range today with my Anshutz 1807 hoping to get some targets shot for the on line matches, but it turned out to be a learning day. I learned that you have to take your time, this is not a 20yd iron sight indoor match. I learned that the skills acquired for "match" or "target" rifle competitions mean squat when it comes to BR, but it does give you a good foundation for when things go wrong. I learned not to frig with your scope if it is working good as this only leads to headachs. I learned that if you think you took enough ammunition, you better double it. I learned that it is easier to blame someone else when you are the only one there. I learned that I will be hooked on BR.
This is only my second summer for trying this, and last year was not a good year for starting it, but it is a great time and I hope to get a lot more time in this summer.
And something I learned a long time ago, contrary to what the tag line for this forum says, rimfire fun stuff that can break your piggy bank, if you want it to.
Gotta go frig with my scope and have a drink.
