Just picked this receiver up from a site sponsor, and being rather new to the whole M1 Garand world, im wondering if any members can shed some light on the significance/meaning behind the markings pictured here? Specifically, I’m curious as to why there is a BMR stamping on the side of the receiver, whereas there manufacturer stamp/serial number indicates a Beretta-manufactured receiver. Thanks in advance.
