I asked this in the legalese forum but haven't gotten much of an answer yet.
A whole range of things are ITAR controlled. So as I understand I cannot buy them in the USA and bring them back to Canada. But some of these same devices are available for sale in Canada (presumably they were imported with some paperwork).
If I bought one of these items in Canada such as a thermal scope, could I take it hog hunting in the USA and return with it? Maybe just carrying a Canadian invoice as proof? Has any CGN'er taken a thermal scope hog hunting in Texas?
What about other countries. If I wanted to take a gen3 nv scope to say Europe as a spotting device would this be prohibited?
