ithaca 10 gauge

I've had an ithaca and my dad had one for years. They had a part inside that use to break all the time but I think when Remington bought the patten they fixed the problem so I heard.

I've got a Remington SP10, and really can't say enough good things about it. Perceived recoil is considerably less than shooting a 3" mag out of a light 12 guage pump. And the smack-down it puts on ducks and geese is a noticeable step up. My only beef is the cost of the ammo, which is considerably more than 3-1/2 12 gauge ammo which is loaded to about the same payload and velocity level.

That said, it is hands-down the best goose gun I've ever used. When I'm specifically after ducks, however, it's not my first choice. It's a heavy gun (somewhere around 11 lbs I would guess), and not particularly fast to mount or swing. But when the geese have their wings cupped and their approach vector locked in, it really does the business.
