Just picked up an ol model 37 16 gauge featherlight. Was wondering if anyone could give me any history on them? She's a beat up ol girl but I've got faith it'll do what I bought it for. Did they all come with a certain choke restriction or will I have to measure it to find out? Any watchouts with this? I read somewhere it can be bump fired so I'll have to watch for that. How can I find out the manufacturingd ate? Any information is appreciated.
 
Well built nice guns . no it will not bump fire or Should Not .however it will slam fire if you hold the trigger in as you cycle the action with live ammo .
 
The choke restriction should be marked on the left side of the barrel near the receiver. Most of these will be FULL. What is your serial number? Over 855000, or under? I'm on the hunt for one over 855000.
