Can anyone walk me through this? I have a 37 with the left hand safety and want to change it back to right(have all parts needed).
Looked around online and didn't find anything definitive.
Thanks-

If memory serves, remove the stock and then remove the bolt holding the trigger group in place and slide it out to the rear. There is a small plunger that is visible that pushes into the detents in the safety, push it up and slide the safety button out. (I would do this inside a clear plastic bag in case of an accidental release and loss of the spring and plunger) If you don't need the lefty button let me know I am interested in buying one.

Actually it might be easier then that , you should only have to push the safety catch detent up on the left side and slide the safety out , being very careful that the catch doesn't go flying to parts unknown like so many AR springs and detends do .lol

If I might ask , being left handed , what are you doing with the left handed safety ?

That is why I suggest removing the trigger group. By doing the work in a clear plastic bag, less chance of a sproing event.lol

Thanks for all the help, I was not able to remove the safety with the trigger in, there's a notch in the safety that catches on the back of the trigger that I couldn't get around. Ended up taking the trigger group apart and did use the plastic bag trick to remove the safety once I had it all apart, thanks for that tip!
Do think I'll hang onto the lefty safety for the time being, never know when it could be useful in the future.

Glad you got it changed out. If you ever decide you don't want or need the lefty button, let me know. I have a model 37 that I would like to change over.
